LOUD won Valorant Champions today, the game's world championship, beating OpTic Gaming in the final in Istanbul. The final peaked at 1.5 million concurrent viewers, a record in Valorant history. It is the biggest title yet for the Brazilian organisation, founded in February 2019 by Bruno "PlayHard" Oliveira, Jean Ortega and Mathew Ho.
In three and a half years, LOUD became the most-followed esports organisation in the world on Instagram, overtaking FaZe Clan with more than 11 million followers in July 2021. It also has the most YouTube subscribers of any esports organisation, more than 12 million, was the first to pass 1 billion views on the platform, and was the most-discussed esports organisation on Twitter worldwide in 2021.
We created LOUD's identity as it was being born. The name called for a brand that made noise: a neon green that vibrates on screen, Labil Grotesk with shifting letters, and a logotype far from the shields that dominate the field. The D becomes a play button and signs avatars and small spaces.
