Séren Inc — The pursuit of the state of the art in real estate development

Case study

Séren Inc

Séren is a high-end real-estate developer that wanted to reposition itself in the market with a deeper strategy. BRBAUEN led the strategy, the naming — 'Séren', from serendipity, understood as a capacity rather than luck — and the visual and verbal languages, including a generative 3D volume that represents the city as a constantly evolving organism.

Consciously impacting the city's landscape begins with accepting its complexity and creating the stage for evolution

The Séren project emerged from the company's need to reposition itself in the market, at the request of management for deeper strategic development. By understanding the differentiators the company already possessed, combined with new expectations from the high-end real estate market, it led to the translation of Séren's strengths and latent qualities.

By balancing the board's perceptions with the insights from strategic research, the new positioning emerges as a response to tomorrow's consumer, allowing Séren to remain at the forefront of the market for decades to come.

Reason and momentum

More than urban solutions, it is necessary to understand all perspectives of a development. The city is a living organism, and that is how Séren operates.

Discussing buildings is not part of the brand; it focuses its energies on reimagining them, allowing each one to find its own distinction, evolving through research in technology and behavior.

Elevating the conversation is merely a consequence of the competencies Séren brings to its approach; and by understanding its complex impact on the urban landscape, the creative contribution had the duty to translate and synthesize these forces into elements and words that would reach that level.

"Chance is an event, Serendipity is a capacity" — Paul Flory / Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 1974

Contrary to the common understanding of the word:

Serendipity is commonly associated with lucky encounters. It's remarkable to think about — but if we look more closely at the context of great achievements, from Archimedes to Fleming, we begin to think differently. No great achievement was an act of luck; these individuals brought years of work and the ability to see bridges where others could not.

That is the meaning for Séren.

Séren Inc

A generative city volume

The city is a living, rationally irrational being. Through generative 3D design, we sought to create a representation of the city's complexity in a state of constant evolving flux.

An act of planning, strategic vision and a way of doing things in constant evolution
