Balsamico is a renowned catering company in São Paulo, specialized in high end events and extremely sophisticated plates with haute cuisine approach.. Menus are created exclusively for each event, there is no common standard. Having a completely customized approach with quality standards from Brazil's finest chefs, Balsamico is today one of São Paulo's top catering companies.
Our challenge was understand Balsamico's essence, their way of conducting their kitchen and how they treat each client, having done that, we developed a new identity system that would fully reflect their catering's sophistication and the way each event is treated in uniquely customized ways.
Inspiration for the brand identity was born from an extremely poetic narrative, treating Balsamico as an art piece, and not just a business..
The company's name suggested this inspirational approach for the identity. How gorgeous would it be if the "aceto balsamico" itself was poured on various brand identity touchpoints? Based on this principle, we used the "suminagashi" technique to develop unique paintings that would directly relate to the brand name, making every piece of it a work of art.
The project, which is still being implemented, has reached it's initial strategic goal to clearly convey how sophisticated their approach to cuisine is, communicating their exclusive approach to each plate and service through the marbled paintings which represent the brand entirely.
